The idea:

Using the new retouching skills you have acquired, create a photographic piece which calls into question the nature of "photographic space" while retaining the look and feel of the photographic picture plane.

Requirements:

Feel free to use the scanners or a digital camera.

Required Readings:

  • Readings by 2/21:
    • Chapters 16 (very important - I should have had you read it earlier), and 11, 12, and 13 (important, but skim through mostly)
  • Readings by 2/28:
    • Chapters 14-15 (very, very , very important

All assignments will build upon each other. You may wish to "repurpose" materials from earlier assignments to keep a cohesiveness to your projects throughout the semester. Because of this you should work with images and ideas you are highly interested in from the beginning.
